The Fray- Hundred.
I try to not listen to this album, especially this song. The whole album puts me in that place and this song’s composition- negating the lyrics- has a detrimental effect on me. But it’s beautiful. And I relate to it in a very intimate way.

no child and no companion; she has been forever alone.

for whales have always sung but not like her.
First heard in 1989, she sung at a frequency of 52.72 hertz,
while other whales sing between 12 and 25 hertz.
This is the reason for her to roam alone;
as beautiful as she sings,
there is no other whale in the world that will hear her.
As time passes, her song changes;
deeper, darker and sadder.
